FAQ
Asked, answered.
The eight questions every MYLADDER conversation starts with. Anything else — WhatsApp is faster than a contact form.
Will it damage my wall? What kind of wall do I need?
MYLADDER mounts to solid brick, concrete or RCC walls with expansion anchors — the standard walls in almost every Indian apartment. We survey your wall (photos on WhatsApp are usually enough) before we confirm the order, and the mounting plates spread the load so the anchors work well within their rating. Drywall and hollow-block walls need a backing frame, which we fabricate as part of installation.
Is it safe for young children?
The walls are designed to grow with children rather than fence them off: rounded rungs sized for small grips, no pinch points at the joints, and holds spaced so a toddler’s reach matches a safe step. That said, it is climbing furniture — the same supervision you’d apply at a playground applies at home. Every anchor point is load-tested far beyond an adult’s weight.
How much weight does it hold?
Base frames are rated for a 250kg static load; DHRUVA and SAMPOORNA upper rails take a 300kg dynamic load — kipping pull-ups included. The limiting factor is almost always the wall itself, which is why we check it first.
How does delivery and installation work?
Every wall is made to order in our Mumbai workshop, typically in 4–6 weeks. In Mumbai, our own team delivers and installs — usually within a morning. Outside Mumbai we ship across India and install through vetted partners, or guide your carpenter over a video call with a drilling template included in the crate.
Which wood do you use, and how do I maintain it?
Solid American walnut, air-dried and CNC-machined in Mumbai, finished with a hardwax oil rather than lacquer. Maintenance is a wipe with a dry cloth; once a year, a thin coat of the supplied oil brings the grain back to day one. No polish, no varnish, ever.
Can I add modules later?
Yes — that’s the point of the system. Every wall shares the same rung profile and anchor spacing, so rings, the slide, the swing or the storage bench can be added years later and they’ll fit. Add-ons ship with everything needed to fit them yourself in minutes.
Do you make custom sizes?
Within reason, yes. Ceiling height variations (9ft standard, 8ft compact, double-height) are a standard option, not a custom job. Wider banks — like the four-panel walls we build for studios — are quoted per project on WhatsApp.
What is the warranty?
Ten years on the timber and joinery, five on steel hardware, lifetime support on re-oiling and adjustment. If a rung ever works loose or a finish fails under normal use, we make it right — the wall is meant to outlast the lease, the kids’ childhood and probably the building.
